Fans of Jacob Elordi, the latest Australian to make it big in Hollywood, were delighted with three pseudo meet-and-greet opportunities at stylish Sydney venues, the day before the prestigious launch of his wax double at Madame Tussauds Sydney.

The Queensland-born actor catapulted to worldwide fame in roles such as Euphoria’s Nate Jacobs and The Kissing Booth’s Noah Flynn, and is the latest celebrity to be immortalised by the world famous attraction, now thriving for more than 250 years.

Known to share most of his time between Los Angeles and Australia, he is currently filming his latest and is understandably unavailable for a side-by-side launch event with his figure.

However, the Madame Tussauds Sydney team, famous for bringing you impossibly close to untouchable stars, created the next best thing, inviting fans to come and ‘meet him’ out-and-about in Sydney.

At around 10am, Jacob was stood on the balcony of trendy Crown Street Café, Cuckoo Callay. Fans were warmly welcomed in for a chance to take a photo ‘drinking a coffee’ with the Australian heartthrob.

During lunch, Jacob, known to support local produce markets, was stationed surrounded by a multitude of fresh flowers at the Cambridge Markets in the Entertainment Quarter, for the most picturesque photo opportunity of the day.

Finally, for a touch of glamour, Jacob was taken onboard ‘The Jackson’ a private cruise boat, moored on the beautiful waters of world-renowned Darling Harbour.

Fans were delighted with their chance to meet Jacob’s double, accepting the invitation from Madame Tussauds Sydney and Binge, the online streaming service airing the global hit series Euphoria, who were also giving away prizes to fans posting images of the Jacob encounter.

Those who were unable to rub shoulders with Jacob out in Sydney will be able to visit him in the Film & TV zone of Madame Tussauds Sydney, located  in Darling Harbour, from 30 June 2022.

“I am honoured to be a part of the Madame Tussauds family” said Jacob.

“Madame Tussauds is an attraction that you go to as a kid, I don’t think anyone could imagine they’d end up as a wax figure inside one. It’s an enormous honour and I’m incredibly grateful that my figure will be launched back home in Australia.

“It was brilliant learning first hand the attention to detail that the Madame Tussauds team puts into each wax figure. It was a joy collaborating with their team and this is an experience I will never”, Jacob concluded.

Madame Tussauds Sydney undertakes extensive research into producing life-like wax figures. The process includes hundreds of separate measurements, hours of matching skin tone, eye, and hair colour – with the overall creation of each figure often taking up to nine months to complete.

Jacobs figure will be part of a new and exciting interactive experience offering guests the unique opportunity to experience life in front and behind the camera in the ultimate on screen audition this winter school holidays!

Inspired by his most memorable Film & TV work, the audition will test a guest’s entire acting range. Grab a prop and choose from teen, drama, horror, or romance and deliver the lines into Jacob’s eyes to try and nail the audition. Then, wait for feedback from the director’s chair. Who knows, this could be your big break!
